Realising Security Innovation
Realising Security Innovation is a two-day event for security practitioners, researchers and policymakers, and is the inaugural Symposium of the Horizon Europe-funded Engage2innovate project.
The Symposium includes presentations, discussions and — on day 2 — a DesignLab workshop. This interactive group session will explore the potential for human-centred social innovation as an enabler of security solutions, and collaboratively develop conceptual models that might describe this.
Realising Security Innovation will open with a keynote address from Nicolas Bessot, Head of Innovation and Security Research Unit at the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission. Together, the Symposium will critically explore what constitutes real security innovation and discuss different approaches to fostering the implementation of R&I project outputs.
The venue for Realising Security Innovation is Le Bouche à Oreille — a former convent close to the Parc du Cinquantenaire in the heart of Brussels.
Registration is FREE but spaces are limited, so please reserve your place by completing and submitting the registration form here.
Directions to the venue and details of nearby hotels will be sent with confirmation of your booking.
Should you need any additional details about the Symposium, feel free to reach out at events@engage2innovate.eu.
We hope you can join us and look forward to welcoming you in Brussels.
