LKA
The State Office for Criminal Investigation of Lower Saxony (LKA NI), based in Hanover, is the competent, capable and impulse-giving central office for successfully fighting and preventing crime in Lower Saxony, as well as a key guarantor of internal security and a central point of contact in federal-state cooperation. It also sees itself as a "service provider" in that it advises and supports the regional police stations in Lower Saxony.
As the central office of the Lower Saxony police, the LKA NI ensures the exchange of information across federal states with the other state criminal investigation offices and the Federal Criminal Police Office.
